Darek is 24 and after 10 years of education at a school for students with intellectual disabilities he needs to confront himself with adulthood. At a film workshop, he receives a camera that will enable him to tell a story of the final weeks at his favourite place from his own perspective. In his musings about trifles as well as matters he cannot fully understand, he is accompanied by his best friend, Daniel. They experience the world in their own way and, at the same time, enable the viewer to see the reality through their eyes for a little while. The Earth Will Swallow It All
2022
The change of the political system that occurred in Poland in the early 1990s brought not only hopes related to the social and economic transformation, but also anxieties and fears. At the time, such fears were treated as evidence of incompatibility with the new capitalist order and thus consistently relegated to the margins of public debate. The film is an attempt to recall the traumatic experiences of this period.

The Troublemaker
2020
In times of crisis we get to find out who we really are. ‘The Troublemaker’ delves deep into the ideas and emotions behind the international wave of civil protest that has emerged in response to the unfolding climate crisis. The pandemic has shown how fast and how far we can move when faced with a global threat. The film asks the simple question: if the science is right on climate change, what should you do? Facing up to crisis, transforming yourself by overcoming a seemingly insurmountable threat, is THE archetypal story of human civilisation. But this time the threat is global and may prove fatal. Now that we understand more about what a ‘global crisis’ feels like, it can no longer be ignored. This is our opportunity to live life without lies, a life that offers both resilience and joy through the power of collective action. thetroublemakermovie.com

Almost Famous: The Silent Pulse of the Universe
2021
Growing up in a Quaker household, Jocelyn Bell Burnell was raised to believe that she had as much right to an education as anyone else. But as a girl in the 1940s in Northern Ireland, her enthusiasm for the sciences was met with hostility from teachers and male students. Undeterred, she went on to study radio astronomy at Glasgow University, where she was the only woman in many of her classes. In 1967, Burnell made a discovery that altered our perception of the universe. As a Ph.D. student at Cambridge University assisting the astronomer Anthony Hewish, she discovered pulsars — compact, spinning celestial objects that give off beams of radiation, like cosmic lighthouses. (A visualization of some early pulsar data is immortalized as the album art for Joy Division’s “Unknown Pleasures.”)

ABC Stage 67
1966
ABC Stage 67 is the umbrella title for a series of 26 weekly shows that included dramas, variety shows, documentaries, and original musicals. It premiered on American Broadcasting Company on September 14, 1966 with Murray Schisgal's The Love Song of Barney Kempinksi, directed by Stanley Prager and starring Alan Arkin as a man enjoying the sights and sounds of New York City in his last remaining hours of bachelorhood. Arkin was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Single Performance By An Actor in a Leading Role in a Drama and the program was nominated as Outstanding Dramatic Program. Future programs included appearances by Petula Clark, Bobby Darin, Sir Laurence Olivier, Albert Finney, Peter Sellers, David Frost, and Jack Paar. ABC's effort to bring culture to the masses was a noble but unsuccessful experiment. Scheduled first against I Spy on Wednesdays and then The Dean Martin Show on Thursdays, the show consistently received low ratings. Its last production, an adaptation of Jean Cocteau's one-woman play The Human Voice starring Ingrid Bergman, aired on May 4, 1967. "Stage 67" was not actually a part of the primary ABC facilities in Los Angeles. It was produced at the old Monogram Studios backlot that was later sold to KCET.
